Jarosite Visible Spectra (380 - 1100 nm)

The orangish-yellow color of jarosite, KFe3+3(SO4)2(OH)6, is from Fe3+. The color gains added intensity because of interactions among the ferric ions in the clusters of three Fe3+ which form an essential feature of the jarosite structure.
