Scheelite Visible Spectra (400 - 1000 nm)


When scheelite, CaWO4, such as the crystal from the Green Horn Mountains, Kern County, California, has the nearly pure endmember composition, is is essentially colorless. Rare earth elements, particularly Nd and to a lesser extent, Pr, often give it color.
