Abstract

Here we report the isolation and characterization of [Fe(pic)2OH]2, a ferric iron picolinate dimer whch apparently is the first example of a crystalline iron(III) dimer which utilized dihydroxo bridging in its coordination structure. Its magnetic susceptibility dat in the range 16-229 K is consistent with a hydroxo-bridged dimer.
